A quick and easy Halloween candy charcuterie board that comes together in under 15 minutes. No baking required—just arrange your favorite candies, fresh fruit, and salty snacks on a board for a festive, crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate candies (miniature chocolates, chocolate bars, or truffles)
  • Chewy candies (caramel chews, taffy, or fruit chews)
  • Sour candies (gummy worms, sour belts, or sour gummies)
  • Hard candies (lollipops, candy canes, or wrapped hard candies)
  • Licorice (black or red licorice twists)
  • Marshmallows (regular or flavored, such as pumpkin spice)
  • Pretzels (mini pretzels or pretzel sticks)
  • Apple slices (tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning)
  • Popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
  • Nuts (roasted almonds, pecans, or peanuts)
  • Dried fruit (dried cranberries, apricots, or banana chips)
  • Mini pumpkins or gourds (for decoration)
  • Halloween sprinkles (orange, black, and purple)
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or mint sprigs)

Instructions

  1. Set up your board (2 minutes): Place your wooden board or platter on a clean, flat surface. If using parchment paper, lay it down now. Arrange small bowls in clusters to create visual anchors.
  2. Add the fresh elements (3 minutes): Slice apples and toss with lemon juice. Place them in a small bowl or directly on the board. Add popcorn in another bowl or pile. Arrange nuts and dried fruit in small clusters.
  3. Place the larger candies (3 minutes): Start with the biggest items. Break chocolate bars into pieces and arrange in small groups. Place licorice twists in a neat pile or fan them out. Put lollipops sticking out of a small bowl or nestled among other candies.
  4. Fill in with smaller candies (4 minutes): Add chewy candies, sour gummies, and marshmallows. Scatter them around larger items, filling gaps. Group similar colors together for a cohesive look.
  5. Add the decorative touches (2 minutes): Place mini pumpkins or gourds in a few spots. Sprinkle Halloween sprinkles lightly around the board. Tuck in a few sprigs of rosemary or mint for a fresh green accent.
  6. Final check and serve (1 minute): Step back and look at your board. Fill any bare spots with extra candy or popcorn. Place tongs or small spoons near the bowls. Serve immediately.

Notes

If making ahead, arrange candy and nuts up to 24 hours in advance. Add fresh fruit and popcorn just before serving. For a nut-free version, skip nuts and add extra pretzels or popcorn. For a vegan board, use dairy-free dark chocolate and vegan gummy candies.
