This creamy caramel apple dip with crunchy toffee bits is the perfect fall dessert dip, combining rich caramel, tangy cream cheese, and buttery toffee for an irresistible treat that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar together with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  3. Add the caramel sauce and vanilla extract. Beat on low speed until just combined and smooth.
  4. Gently fold in most of the toffee bits, reserving about 2 tablespoons for the top. Fold until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and spread into an even layer. Create gentle swirls on top with the back of a spoon if desired.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved toffee bits over the top. Add a light sprinkle of sea salt if using.
  7. For best flavor, chill the dip in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes before serving. Serve with sliced apples, pretzels, graham crackers, or shortbread cookies.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and a high-quality caramel sauce with real cream and butter. The dip can be made up to 2 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. To keep apple slices from browning, toss them in lemon juice.
