A quick, customizable, and healthier homemade version of the classic Lunchables pepperoni pizza snack box, ready in under 5 minutes with real ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 mini round crackers (e.g., Ritz or store-brand buttery crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce (e.g., Rao’s or Classico)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (preferably low-moisture part-skim, shredded from a block)
  • 810 mini pepperoni slices
  • Optional: sliced black olives, bell pepper strips, or a small container of ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: If shredding your own cheese, grate about 1/4 cup per box. If using full-size pepperoni, cut into quarters. Mini pepperoni can be used as-is.
  2. Portion the sauce: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce into a small condiment cup or a separate compartment of your bento box.
  3. Arrange the crackers: Place 6 to 8 mini crackers in one compartment of the container in a single layer. For extra crispness, put crackers in a small zip-top bag inside the box.
  4. Add the cheese: Place the shredded mozzarella in another compartment, keeping it fluffy.
  5. Add the pepperoni: Put the mini pepperoni slices in the remaining compartment. Add optional toppings alongside.
  6. Assemble and serve: Close the container and refrigerate until ready to eat. When serving, build mini pizzas by topping each cracker with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Eat immediately for best crunch.

Notes

Keep crackers separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Use a thick pizza sauce to prevent dripping. For school lunches, freeze the sauce cup overnight to act as an ice pack. Batch prep ingredients on the weekend for quick assembly during the week.
