These easy no-bake peanut butter oat protein balls are the perfect grab-and-go snack. Made with simple pantry ingredients, they come together in just 10 minutes and are packed with protein and fiber.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter (natural, no added sugar or oil)
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats (not quick oats)
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (mini or regular)
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup peanut butter, ⅓ cup honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  2. Add 1 ½ cups rolled oats, 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ½ cup chocolate chips. Stir until no dry spots remain. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
  3. Squeeze a small amount of the mixture between your fingers. It should hold together easily. If too dry, add a tablespoon of honey or a splash of milk. If too sticky, add a tablespoon of oats.
  4. Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. Enjoy immediately or after a few hours for best flavor.

Notes

For best texture, use natural peanut butter with no added sugar or oil. If the mixture is too sticky, wet your hands lightly before rolling. The balls get better after a day in the fridge as flavors meld. For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup and use dairy-free chocolate chips.
