These easy rainbow fruit kabobs with yogurt dip are a fun, colorful, and healthy treat perfect for picky eaters, parties, or any occasion. Fresh fruit is threaded onto skewers in rainbow order and served with a creamy, lightly sweetened yogurt dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Oranges or clementines, peeled and segmented
  • Pineapple, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • Green grapes
  • Blueberries
  • Purple grapes or blackberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the fruit first. Wash everything thoroughly. Hull the strawberries and halve them (or quarter them if they’re huge). Peel and segment the oranges. Cut the pineapple into 1-inch chunks. Rinse the grapes and blueberries. Pat everything dry with a clean towel.
  2. Make the yogurt dip. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Taste and add more honey if desired. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Start threading the fruit. Take a skewer and thread the fruit in rainbow order: red (strawberries), orange (oranges), yellow (pineapple), green (green grapes), blue (blueberries), purple (purple grapes or blackberries). Leave about an inch at the bottom of the skewer.
  4. Thread each fruit gently. Don’t cram them together too tightly — leave a tiny gap between each piece so the colors show. For blueberries, thread 2-3 on the skewer. For grapes, thread them so the flat side faces up.
  5. Repeat until all fruit is used. You should get about 8-10 kabobs.
  6. Arrange on a platter. Place the kabobs in a single layer on a serving tray. Put the bowl of yogurt dip in the center or on the side.
  7. Serve immediately or chill. These are best within an hour of making them. If prepping ahead, keep the fruit and dip separate and assemble right before serving.

Notes

For best results, keep fruit cold before threading. Don’t thread fruit too tightly. Make extra dip as people often want more. The dip can be made a day ahead and actually improves in flavor. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes to prevent splinters.
