These easy spooky mummy crescent dogs are the perfect Halloween snack—buttery, flaky crescent dough wrapped around salty hot dogs, baked to golden perfection and topped with mustard eyes. Quick to make and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
  • 8 hot dogs (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • Mustard (yellow, honey mustard, or sriracha)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 pre-cut triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3-4 thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
  4. Take one hot dog and start wrapping a dough strip around it, starting at one end and working your way up. Leave a small gap (about 1/4 inch) between each wrap so the hot dog shows through. Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through.
  7. Let them cool for 2-3 minutes on the baking sheet.
  8. Using a toothpick or the tip of a knife, dot two small spots of mustard on each mummy for the eyes.

Notes

For best results, keep the dough cold for easier cutting and wrapping. Do not overwrap—leave gaps for the mummy look. If dough tears, press it back together; it will fuse during baking. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through if your oven has hot spots. For make-ahead, assemble up to 4 hours in advance and refrigerate; add 1-2 minutes to baking time.
