A quick and easy no-cook bento box lunch featuring turkey, cheese, grapes, and crunchy crackers. Perfect for busy mornings, school lunches, or work, this balanced meal comes together in 10 minutes and is endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810 slices turkey (about 150g), preferably oven-roasted low-sodium deli turkey
  • 60g sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup red grapes (about 75g)
  • 15 whole wheat crackers (about 30g), such as Wheat Thins or Triscuits
  • 2 tablespoons hummus or ranch dip (optional)
  • Handful cherry tomatoes or cucumber slices (optional)
  • Optional: Babybel or cheese sticks
  • Optional: apple slices or berries
  • Optional: almonds, cashews, or pretzel sticks

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese: Cut the block of cheddar into 1/2-inch cubes. If using Babybel or cheese sticks, unwrap and place in container.
  2. Prep the fruit: Rinse grapes under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. If using apple slices, toss in lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Prep the turkey: Leave deli slices flat or roll them up. For roll-ups, lay a slice flat, place a cheese cube or strip at one end, and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick if needed (remove before eating for kids).
  4. Arrange the bento box: Place turkey roll-ups or slices in one compartment. Add cheese cubes to another. Put grapes in a third. Fill remaining space with crackers. If adding dip, place in a small silicone cup or smallest compartment.
  5. Add extras: If including veggies like cherry tomatoes or cucumber slices, add to any empty space. Ensure everything fits snugly but isn’t crammed.
  6. Pack it up: Close lid securely. Place an ice pack on top or underneath in an insulated lunch bag. Refrigerate until leaving.

Notes

Keep crackers separate if packing the night before to prevent sogginess. Use an ice pack for food safety. Prep components in bulk on weekends for faster assembly. The flavors meld nicely after a few hours in the fridge.
