A bright green, fizzy, citrusy Halloween punch that kids love, complete with a spooky dry ice fog effect. Simple ingredients and quick prep make it perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (64-ounce) bottle of pineapple juice
  • 1 (64-ounce) bottle of white grape juice
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 liters of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 1 (64-ounce) container of lime sherbet
  • Green food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • 1 cup of gummy worms or gummy eyeballs (optional)
  • Dry ice (optional, for the fog effect)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen lemonade and limeade concentrates in the fridge overnight or on the counter for about an hour.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the pineapple juice, white grape juice, and thawed concentrates. Stir well. This base can be made up to two days in advance and stored in the fridge.
  3. Chill the juice base and lemon-lime soda in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.
  4. When ready to serve, pour the juice base into a large punch bowl. Add green food coloring a few drops at a time, stirring until you reach a swampy green color.
  5. Slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda and stir gently to combine.
  6. Drop scoops of lime sherbet into the punch. It will float and create a creamy, frothy layer.
  7. Scatter gummy worms or eyeballs over the top. For firmer gummies, freeze them for an hour beforehand.
  8. Using tongs or gloves, carefully place a small chunk of dry ice (about the size of a golf ball) into the punch bowl. It will create fog that spills over the sides. Add more chunks as needed to maintain the fog effect.
  9. Ladle the punch into cups, avoiding the dry ice chunks. Warn everyone not to touch or consume the dry ice.

Notes

Dry ice is optional but creates a dramatic fog effect. Handle dry ice with tongs or gloves; never let children touch it. The juice base can be made up to two days ahead. For a dairy-free version, use lime or lemon sorbet instead of sherbet. For a non-carbonated version, replace soda with ginger ale or water.
